As Zeallous on its own is just a brand name we’ve decided to make this site the home of Zeallous Racing. All content are therefore about Zeallous Racing. New sections such as Team Zeallous and Projects have been added to give visitors more information than the previous one page section.

Hugo Minnaar, manager of Zeallous Racing, recently participated in the regional round of the Eskom Expo for Young Scientist.  His Expo was about the engineering crisis in South Africa.  It is a fact that there is way to few engineers in South Africa.

On Wednesday 20 August, Zeallous Racing went to Westcliff High School to help them with Solid Edge.  Unfortunately the computers they work with can only run Solid Edge V11 while V20 is already out.  Despite the limitation they quickly learned the basics and within an hour they started experimenting with their own ideas.  We hope to see a competitive F1 team within the next year.

On Wednesday, 25 June 2008, the first of many workshops for start-up F1 in Schools teams was held. It was organised by Zeallous Racing, with the gracious help of the staff at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch. The event was held at the Mechanical Engineering department at the faculty’s buildings and teams and staff from as far as Kayalitsha attended.
