After a very successful competition hosted by College of Cape Town in co-operation with the Dept Industrial Engineering US, Team Zeallous achieved 2nd place, best car, best presentation and 2nd best team spirit.

On the morning of the 6th September Team Zeallous together with Zeallous Racing’s manager, Hugo Minnaar (Team Zeallous’ main sponsor) head of to Cape Town in a VW Sharan which Stellenbosch Volkswagen supplied to them for the day.

Seven teams from different schools al over the Western Cape qualified for the competition and proved their skills against each other. Team Zeallous’ car stood out from the others and they had an astonishing display. The judges were also excited about the level of professionalism in their presentation. The level of competition improved a lot from the previous years. At the end of the day it was Team Tornado from the Oude Molen Technical High School who won. They together with Team Zeallous and two other schools will attend the National Championships next year.
